Practically every day, I’m hearing about businesses that are saying they don’t ‘need to advertise’ to get new clients, and that they are getting all of their clients from word of mouth and have done for years.
In fact, many of the business owners saying this, are even saying it as if it’s a good thing, they’re actually proud of this statement, and every time I hear a business owner say they don’t need to advertise. I know straight away, that they’re broke or making very little money in their business. They aren’t playing in the big leagues, and never will if they keep doing what they’ve always done.
If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always got.
Now, having word of mouth recommendations are a good BONUS to have for your business.
However, it should absolutely under no circumstances be the primary source of income, Because relying on word of mouth to pay the bills, will simply leave you waking up with hope, desperation, and fear.
With no control over whether you’ll bring in new clients today.
All of the big businesses you aspire to be like aren’t relying on word of mouth, so why would you?
